All Gold on Friday

This weekend was all gold in more ways than one. The Olympics started (GO FOR GOLD, USA!), Trinidad James came to Ox, and a Great Gatsby viewing party was thrown by one of us as an excuse to get dressed up and throw glitter everywhere… Since we obviously couldn’t go to Sochi and we couldn’t be in two places at once, here is each of our accounts of Friday night:

It may have been snowing outside in Oxford, but it was hot hot hot at The Lyric, where Trinidad James performed. 

The audience was filled with anticipation for his performance, which was almost cancelled due to his arrest that day. Alas, Trinidad stepped out and gave a fantastic show. His energy was amazing. As a finale, he sprayed the audience with champagne as they danced and rapped his words back at him.

Well, a little party never killed nobody so we decided to have a small party in the spirit of Gatsby. Everything that could be gold was gold and I think everyone was covered in glitter by the end of the night.
